What can you expect in a "Senior Information Security Engineer" role with TaskUs: In the role of a Senior Information Security Engineer , this individual assumes a leadership position in the TaskUs' efforts to safeguard digital assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems.
With extensive experience and expertise, the Senior Information Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security policies and procedures.
This individual also provides guidance and mentorship to the team and is instrumental in analyzing and mitigating complex security risks, thereby ensuring the highest level of security for TaskUs' infrastructure and an effective response to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities: Advanced Security Policy and Procedure Design: Leadership in the development and implementation of advanced security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Complex Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Identifying and mitigating complex security vulnerabilities, offering strategic guidance to proactively mitigate risks to the organization's systems and data.
Advanced Configuration Review: Oversight and execution of advanced reviews and assessments of security software and hardware configurations to ensure their effectiveness in defending against evolving threats.
Incident Monitoring and Response Leadership: Leading continuous monitoring for security incidents, providing expert guidance in containing, investigating, and remediating any advanced breaches or security events.
Advanced Technical Security Audits: Conducting advanced technical security audits and assessments, evaluating the effectiveness of advanced security controls, and providing recommendations for enhancements.
Team Mentorship and User Education: Providing mentorship and guidance to the team to facilitate their development in security best practices and educating users on advanced security practices.
Advanced EDR and SIEM Management Support: Offering leadership and support for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, facilitating the detection and response to advanced security threats.
Complex Vulnerability Assessment Management: Leading complex vulnerability assessments, including the management of the remediation process for advanced vulnerabilities to ensure timely mitigation.
Audit Excellence: Providing support for industry-standard audits and third-party client audits, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and requirements.
Required Qualifications: 5 years experience in information security and advanced risk management.
Profound knowledge of advanced security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
Advanced proficiency in EDR and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education / Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications such as CompTIA CySA+ or equivalent certifications.
Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel: Mostly work-from-home (RTO as needed during audits).
Shifting Schedule (every 2 months).
