Job Description

General Accountability:

NA ESSC is recruiting a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to be part of their Global Functions Advisory team. The incumbent will contribute to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for North America segment Marketing and Analytics clients and support the continuous evolution and delivery of the expense advisory function.

Detailed Accountabilities

Support the monthly forecasting cycle by updating templates and collaborating with clients to gather expense/FTE feedback. Understand trends and use appropriate judgement to build forecasts.

Prepare month end commentary on variances, trends and key metrics. Update PowerBI dashboards and distribute results to clients.

Assist with the annual planning cycle including consolidation of global functional results and building presentations.

Prepare Journal Entries with appropriate supporting documentation for approval/releasing.

Work with Accounting Operations team to investigate specific spend items and client inquires.

Support project and BAU initiative reporting by working with clients to ensure spend has been tagged to projects appropriately.

Assist with ongoing analysis of work flow processes and establishment of new procedures, improve and re-engineer current processes to streamline and gain efficiencies.

Assist with various expense management initiatives as they arise (i.e. tracking cost savings, FTE movement for organizational changes, updating sharepoint access, etc.).

Support the Manager in building high performing team by ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service through proactively promoting client centricity. Effectively communicate significant production updates and challenges to the Manager in a timely manner

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:

University graduate in Accounting

Professional accounting designation (CPA or CMA) is preferred

3 - 5 years progressive experience within finance within a large multi-national, organization

Highly developed written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with cost centre leads

Solid analytical and technical capability - ability to assimilate/summarize a large amount of information from multiple sources and present in a value-added form for senior management

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and ability to learn new applications quickly

Essbase and Lawson knowledge (or other complex GL package) would be an asset.

Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues within Finance

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures

Proven ability to thrive in a fast pace, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests

Flexibility to occasionally conference with various time zones
