Job Ads We are looking to strengthen our team at our site in Malacca Senior Electronic Design Engineer (m/f/d) Based in MelakaJob Description:This role involves designing machine control systems to meet CE and safety standards, preparing electronics circuit diagrams, and improving electrical processes.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, redesigning products to enhance functionality or reduce costs, and overseeing prototype development and testing.
The position also requires documenting engineering changes, providing training, troubleshooting internal and external product issues, and supporting the assembly process.
Additionally, the role includes managing projects, participating in 5S activities, and assisting with part selection and procurement.Key Responsibilities:Design of machine control systems according to CE & local authoritative safety requirementsPreparation of Electronics Circuit Diagram (ECD) for serial lot assembly, customer upgrades as well as specific customer new machinesIdentifying deficiencies/weaknesses (with supporting data & calculations) in electrical processes/components and developing improvementsMeeting with business management, Sales, Assembly, internal R&D members, Procurement and suppliers to discuss product ideas.Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functionsRedesigning of products to enhance equipment functionality/application, reduce lead-time, due to product end of life (obsolete) or to reduce costCreating design projects and specifications sheets including test instructions for new process/parts implementedPresenting product designs/prototypes to management, Sales or customerOverseeing the engineering of product prototypesDevelopment and distribution of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) to all relevant department or personnelTesting & documenting prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use and longevityResolving product/equipment issues both internally (Assembly, Service, Carrier Tape Production & inter plant support) and externally (Customer) either by remote or physical supportConducting and documenting training to personnel from Assembly, Training Center, Service, Carrier Tape Production, Sales or customer.Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocations and tracking resources for on-time completion of tasks/projects/evaluations5S activities are carried out at own workspace frequently and practised through the relevant R&D offices.Act as internal project manager for development/evaluation projects when and if assigned Preparing documents on critical analysis and providing solutions for corrective/preventive actionsPerform hand-on assembly in Assembly & Carrier Tape department when and if the need arisesSupport selection and purchasing of items, technical support for sourcing of parts, e.g clarifying questions and specifications with suppliersOther tasks assigned by superiorRequirements:Master craftsman in electronics or engineer specialized in electronicsOpen communication and able to work individually and in a team (within R&D and/or inter-department)Experience in E-CAD system Siggraph, Or CAD, Microsoft Office tools, database ProFile and P2Good command of EnglishKnowledge of relevant regulations, laws, machine design rules and normsCritical and analytical thinkingTeamwork and collaborationAttention to detail, Problem-solving, Leadership, ability to multi-taskRespect for procedures and standards and proper documentationsGood & flexible time managementAbility to perform under time pressureGood organization skillsGood stress managementAbility to accept failures and criticisms and work towards improvementCreativity and innovationWe offer:Performance BonusContractual BonusAttendance BonusInsurance CoverageMedical Claim (Staff & Family)Medical Check up/Dental treatment/Eye wearHave we raised your interest?
