Senior Cyber Security Specialist

Responsibilities: As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist within the Office of the Information Security Manager, you will be responsible for: Administering the companys perimeter Security appliances (IPS, WAF, SSL VPN)Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on the companys networks and external facing applicationsConducting cyber incident response activities (detection, analysis, investigation, forensics) while liaising with the Network Operations CentreEnsuring IT security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IT standards and overall IT securityReviewing logs using analytic tools such as Splunk or ArcsightConducting technical evaluation of emerging technologies and projects in the company while providing guidance to the IT Operations and Development groupsResearch and alert on emerging threats and vulnerabilities that relates to the companys IT infrastructure and applicationsProvide continuous cyber related services within the 24/7 operations team (incident response, monitoring, reporting etc)Qualifications: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.At least 8 years of system / network and Security experienceMust have a least one of the following security certifications: -Certified ethical hacker certification (EC Council Ethical Hacker) -SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical HackingDetailed knowledge of network and Web related protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)Must have proven track record and experience with administering, tuning and configuring an Intrusion Prevention system and Web Application FirewallVery detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniquesRecent development experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g. C#, .NET, C++, Java, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Objective C) preferredStrong scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell script, Java script, PowerShell) requiredStrong working knowledge of Linux and Apache platformsStrong working knowledge of Windows and IIS platformsWilling to work on 24/7 Shifting schedule
