Job Description:
Key Responsibilities: Books reservations for air travel, hotel and transfers, following up when necessary to complete the reservation. Responds timely to requests for price quotations using an automated system for domestic and international routings. Able to manually construct fares and add applicable taxes, surcharges and mark-ups as necessary on a per transaction basis for flights, hotels, and other products. Conforms to client travel standards and policies. Promotes fares and rates that match the client's travel program policies and negotiated contracts. Applies corporated discounted rates accordingly. Remains informed of all airline rules and regulations and current affairs. Communicates information to clients accurately and appropriately. Able to achieve all service level agreement of the business which includes but is not limited to. Maintains client profiles, ensuring specials requests and reward program information such as frequent flyer / driver / hotel stay are included. Monitors, sorts and works global distribution systems (GDS) queues daily to maintain quality control. Take ownership of the clients assigned to with highest importance. Knows and properly uses: airline terminology, codes, fare basis, airline rules and tariffs, resource guides, books, and industry contacts. Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably Tourism or any Travel related courses. Minimum of four (4) + years active Corporate Travel Consultant experienced in the past 6 years. Advanced Standard Fares or ticketing Experience in handling corporate clients for the travel industry. IATA certification is definitely a plus. Well-experienced in using Amadeus GDS and its native environment. Excellent written and communication skills. Detail-oriented with utmost focus on quality and efficiency. Must have a minimum of 30 WPM typing speed. Demonstrated professional customer service skills with previous training in this category (preferably with certificates). Strong international and domestic routing knowledge and well versed in world geography. Knowledgeable in the travel industry terms and concepts. Above average mathematical competencies for fare computation and invoicing. Demonstrated internet research skills in providing travel-related information to the customer. Flexible to work on shifting schedules including graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays. Can effectively communicate with colleagues and peers from other departments. Must be a team player and a follower. Can work and remain calm under pressure.
