We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support the company's goals.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other applicable accounting standards.
General Ledger Management: Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring that all entries are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead and coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department managers to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial trends and assist in developing financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations by assisting in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings.
Work with external tax advisors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Audit Support: Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits, providing supporting documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Assist in preparing audit schedules and reports.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems.
Work to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Supervision and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and develop their skills.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights to help management make informed decisions.
Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal policies, company guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
Minimum of (X) years of accounting experience, with at least (X) years in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Experience with financial software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
