We’re looking for a passionate and driven SEM specialist to support our Digital Marketing team and internal clients (Marketing Demand Centers) to deliver best-in-class Search Campaigns that enable Deltek to reach and engage our target audiences.
As SEM Specialist you will work as part of the Digital Marketing team alongside other SEM specialists/account managers. You will be responsible for creating, managing and optimizing paid SEM activity on behalf of Deltek’s Marketing Demand Centers to help them achieve lead gen and awareness goals.A great candidate for this role will be a data-driven, individual contributor with experience managing Google Ad campaigns on behalf of internal stakeholders or external clients. The best candidates will understand search advertising best practices and have experience of using Google Ads to boost lead gen whilst improving cost per acquisition metrics for B2B or technology clients.Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage the set up and ongoing optimization of Google Ad campaigns on behalf of the Marketing Demand Centers that you support.
Ensure all SEM campaigns are set up in line with digital marketing team best practices.
Identify ways to improve effectiveness of Google Ad campaigns to boost ad engagement, conversion rates and cost per acquisition.
Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis using SEM tools e.g SEMRush.
Closely manage SEM spend in collaboration with the SEM Account Manager and Marketing Demand Centers you support, ensuring that budgets are used effectively.
Prepare regular SEM performance reports.
Collaborate with SEM Account Manager and Marketing Demand Centers to ensure projects are completed and SEM plans are actioned on time.
Interpret campaign results and provide actionable insights for the SEM Account Manager and other campaign owners.
Research, share and execute on up-to-date knowledge of expert digital marketing techniques in particular within paid channels.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with members of other Deltek teams including Marketing Demand Centers, Marketing Operations, Web & Digital, Design and more.
Be a positive and engaged member of the marketing team and committed to sharing thoughts and best practices with others.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of paid SEM experience.
Experience as a hands-on user of Digital Ad platforms. Must have: Google. Nice to have: Bing, Linkedin.
Experience of working in a B2B environment. ERP, Software or Technology preferred.
Experience of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
Experience of working with a CRM and/or marketing automation platform (Salesforce and Eloqua preferred)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with good understanding of digital marketing analytics
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a process driven environment
Understanding of Search Engine Optimization strategies and tactics would be beneficial.
Ability be flexible and pivot quickly based on needs of internal stakeholders.
