SUMMARY OF ROLE
SunPower is seeking aSection Manager - Consumer Collectionsto effectively manage overall portfolio delinquency within threshold for the US Residential & Commercial Assets managed by the Financial Products Asset Management team. The Department Manager reports to the Financial Services Operations Director and will be responsible for the strategic alignment of operations (Early & Late Stage Collection, Loss Mitigation and Recovery) within & outside of GBFS to meet financier and other requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the team
Responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of its people and other resources SunPower
Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output
Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department
Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet team productivity and quality goals
Work with Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees
Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed
Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary
Approve employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling
Address Escalations from Customers or Stakeholders as appropriate
Approve Refund Requests and Payment Plans as outlined in the Approval Matrix
Collaborate with other departments to define/enhance processes impacting Customer interactions

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
5-7 years of Consumer Collections experience, FDCPA
5-7 years of experience managing a team (10+ FTEs) in a shared services environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and multi-culture
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional business organizations, service-oriented and can effectively manage stakeholder/customer requests
University degree in Finance, Engineering, Business or a related field
Previous experience within renewable energy industry (wind and/or solar preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and perform job tasks independently in an unstructured environment with limited direction
Capable of identifying and resolving legal and business issues, appropriately balancing legal issues with business risk
Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously

OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION
Willing to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Willing to travel to the US as needed
Willing to be flexible in work shift
