Scientist I - Behavioral Science

The Agri-food Policy Platform will deliver on key priorities of the Strategic Plan in the areas of Foresighting Policy and Analysis, Market Analysis and Impact Evaluation and Learning.
The behavioral scientist will provide leadership in behavioral science including research on risk perception, risk behavior, and behavior change of various decision-makers in agri-food systems (seed growers and dealers, farmers, organizations, value chain actors, agribusiness, consumers, investors and policy makers), which contributes to promoting and accelerating the transformation of agri-food systems to achieve planetary health diets that improve both human and planetary health. The role specifically focuses on understanding mental processes such as perceptions, decision-making, and attitude formation to provide empirical evidence for human behavior and cognition.
This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and is open for international applications. Likewise, current IRRI staff are encouraged to apply.
