Our Story: Built for the humans of data, by the humans of data

At Atlan, we started as a data team ourselves tackling problems like national-level healthcare and poverty alleviation with data science (TED talk;Case Studies )

The problem:That's how we learned how tough it was to scale data teams. Data teams are the most interdisciplinary teams ever created: Analysts, Scientists, Engineers, Business; Diverse people with their own tooling preferences and skillsets and "DNA" that need to come together and collaborate effectively. Leading tocollaboration chaos.

We would be awoken with crisis calls every second day for the minutest of issues - from troubleshooting why the number on a dashboard is incorrect to getting access to the right dataset! Atlan started as us building small tools to make our own data team more agile.

Over a couple of years, we made our team 6X more agileand went on to do amazing things like build India's National Data Platform used by its Prime Minister. (data for 500M citizens, built by an 8 member team, fastest project of its kind to go live — in 12 months instead of projected 3 years)

Why this role is important for us? ??

At Atlan, we're growing fast in regions around the world. In the past 3 months we've won some amazing customers including India's largest logistics company, Australia's premier healthcare org, Singapore's largest Fintech co. & a large french retailer. All inbound.
We're now looking for a dedicated sales lead who can focus on the EMEA and APAC markets and scale Atlan's presence globally!
Your Mission at Atlan ??

Sales is Service:At Atlan, we believe Sales is Service. If you're the kind of person who wakes up everyday to help customers, we're looking for you. You will be the face of Atlan for the customer: from the first discovery call, to demo, to trial & finally closing.
Trusted Advisor:Through this process, you play the role of a trusted advisor: understand the problems the customer is facing, and advising them through their journey to make the best decision.
Voice of the Market:Work closely with sales engineering, product and marketing to refine Atlan's positioning, marketing and product roadmap.
What makes you a match for us? ??

A demonstrated track record of success in a sales role & owning revenue targets
Atleast 2-3 years of experience selling technical software products (products in the modern data stack, highly preferred)
Impeccable communication skills & stakeholder management
We're not looking for a coin operated sales rep, and instead looking for someone who's excited about building a GTM machine: someone who can contribute to improving our sales process, experiment with pricing, create sales materials and more
Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment with integrity and accountability
