Acting as an intermediary between clients and insurance companies, the Sales and Marketing Officer would use in-depth knowledge of risks and the insurance market to find and arrange suitable insurance policies. The individual will offer products from more than one insurer to ensure that clients, who may be either individuals or commercial business and organizations get the best deal.
Duties and Responsibilities: Assists the Chief Operating Officer in selecting companies that offer the type of coverage requested by the client to underwrite the policy Sells various types of insurance policies to business and individuals on behalf of insurance companies, including automobile, fire, life, property, or other specialized policies Explains features, advanatges, and disadvantages of various policies to promote the sale of insurance plan Customizes insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks. Contacts policyholders to deliver and explain the policy, to analyze insurance programs and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries Attends meetings, seminars, and programs to learn about new products and services, learning new skills and receiving technical assistance in developing new accounts Develops marketing strategiesto compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance Ensures that the policy requirements are fulfilled, including the necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms Monitors claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both client and the insurer. Performs administrative tasks such as collecting premiums, maintaining records, and handling policy renewals Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time Minimum Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, or equivalent At least two (2) years of sales experience, either in accounts acquisition or management advantageous if in the insurance industry Excellent relationship management skills Excellent communiation skills (both oral and written) Remains efficient by adapting to changing situations Ability to provide direction and guidance to a group of people Strong problem solving and analytical skills Balances and difuses inner tension and stresses Innovates through analysis of issues and trends and how these link to the agency's competitive position Gathers, analyzes, and interprets information about a market Generates and qualifies sales leads Must be willing to do fieldwork Must be willing to be assigned in Cavite Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
