Job Description
- Explain, apply, and enforce policies based on the DOLE-OSHrequirements at the plant to prevent Lost of Time Injuries (LTI) and any other asset damage
- Analyse and report overall injuries and accidents at the plant and recommend corrective measures to minimize/ overcome these accidents.
- Perform follow-up sessions on safety matters cascaded and regularly monitor compliance of safety practices at the plant.
- Analyze risk and hazard by implementing HIRARC.
- Responsible for the planning and coordination of safety and health meetings and trainings to ensure that the required procedures are being practiced according to the DOLE-OSHstandards.
- Work with the relevant parties in developing safety and health policies and procedures throughout all departments.
- Ensure that all equipment adheres to the safety requirements and other tools necessary for the effective implementation of accident control.
- Regularly inspect plant facilities to ensure that they are in compliance with the government safety regulations.
- Ensure relevant parties understand and regularly practices safety and health procedures at the workplace.
- Obtain regular updates on DOLE-OSH requirements and assist in training internal staff and new recruits on safety and health requirements as part of orientation.
- To perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.
Qualifications
- The Safety Supervisor requires at least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Diploma or Professional Certificates or equivalent discipline.
- DOLE-OSH Practitioner is an advantage
- Requires computer operation skills including, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and Oracle ERP
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of ISO Standards (Safety, Environment, FSSC, etc)
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation regulations and practices
