Safety Officer

Job Descriptions
Develops and implements plans and objectives for his/her Department.
Coordinates with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other Regulatory Bodies with regards to Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
Acts as the employer’s principal assistant and consultant in the application of programs to remove the hazards from the workplace and to correct unsafe work practices;
Serves as a Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee, as such, he shall: prepare minutes of the meetings, report status of recommendations made, notify members of the meetings and submit to the employer a report of the activities of the committee including recommendations made;
Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers;
Conducts investigation of accidents as member of the Health and Safety Committee and submits his separate report and analysis of accidents to the employer;
Coordinates all health and safety inspection as member of the committee.
Conducts health and safety inspection as member of the committee.

Job Qualifications
Education: BS Engineering graduate or equivalent
Experience: Experience in ISO Standards, Preferably with experience as PCO
Skills: Computer Literacy (Word / Excel / Powerpoint )
Physical/Mental Demands: Can handle pressure/Flexible/Multi-tasking
Working Conditions: Willing to extend working hours/overtime
