Overview With the acquisition of Munich-based oekom in 2018, ISS offers expertise across a full range of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues – having worked with leading asset owners and asset managers to develop solutions to integrate Responsible Investment (RI) into the creation of long term value based on market understanding and expert analysis. Now that European coverage is being expanded, ISS Manila is looking for Environmental and Social Research Analysts who will be joining ISS ESG Research on a fixed-term basis (6-month contract).
Responsibilities
Mainly, the Environmental and Social Research Analysts will be responsible for the following:
Completing basic and advanced desk research and analysis on companies’ management of environmental and social risks and compliance with international norms on responsible business conduct
Learning about environmental, social and governance trends and issues and ability to acquire specific knowledge about the dominant issues for a number of industries
Processing timely analyses on corporate controversies
Qualifications
Degree (BA, MA, JD or other degree) in relevant field
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent language skills, both written and oral (Required fluency in English; Desirable fluency in additional languages, such as Spanish or Portuguese)
Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Attention to detail
Ability to process large volumes of data and work towards deadlines
Methodical and thorough approach to work
Well-Organized
Good at juggling tasks and prioritizing
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and lead the efforts of other professionals
A desire to show initiative
Open for fixed-term employment
