Job Description
The role is responsible in ensuring efficient and effective service delivery while maintaining the trust of both our internal and external customers.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Project Management Lead of Professional Services, the Senior Project Manager is primarily accountable for ensuring efficient and effective service delivery in adherence to service level agreements with both our internal and external customers by providing direction/guidance to team members in driving high performance. Responsibilities include the following:
Effectively partner with the Project Sponsor/Owner to formulate tactical and strategic plans to meet and exceed Service Level Agreements with the business unit.
Effectively manage daily operations on the team assigned by coordinating efforts with peers onsite and offsite.
Effectively works with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to manage daily operations on the team.
Provide support/feedback to the Product Owner with regards to execution of sprint deliverables.
Provides direction, instructions and guidance to team members to continuously improve both individual and team performance. Ensure all team members are engaged and are effective contributors toward the team success.
Drive operational efficiencies and cultivate innovative mindset among team members.
Discuss Business Unit feedback on a real-time, daily, weekly, and monthly basis with the team. Applies best practices in coaching for quality daily.
Responsible for Governance, Reports, and Continual Service Improvement.
Ensure compliance to work process standards and guidelines.
Take on complex new tasks; establish, document and then transfer/train other team members to support as required
Work closely with the training departments to support ongoing training initiatives for the team
Other Duties and Responsibilities assigned by the immediate manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Information Technology; with experience in Application Management and Support in the Financial Services Industries
Background on managing 1-2 simultaneous project from project initiation to closure
Has experience in the 9 methodologies of PM work particularly integration management, cost management, risk management and communications management
Able to design a project charter with strong business case presentation
Able to interpret user requirements into a project plan
Can monitor the business impact given the progress of the project and the cost incurred
Preferably with experience in process improvement and automations
Experience in any of the following technical skills:
Systems/Applications Development or Support
Environment Management and Release Deployment
Security Risk Management Operations
Business Intelligence
Automation
ITIL Intermediate Certifications and Project Management methods (Agile, SAFE, Waterfall, PRINCE2)
is an advantage
Proven leadership & people/talent management capabilities.
Excellent escalation handling, coaching, planning, organizing and performance management skills.
Able to build and maintain honest, ethical and fair relationships with direct reports, peers, and supervisors.
Able to function as an organizational change agent and see beyond current situations towards enterprise-wide higher-level process and systems improvements
Demonstrated project management & planning skills; balances strategic skills with tactical execution skills
Strong analytical & metrics management skills
Strong communication skills - verbal, written, presentation, & negotiation; ability to adapt content to various audiences; communicates effectively at all organization levels.
Proven interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships, engage and influence others, work with a diverse internal and international customer base.
Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
Flexible on shift and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
