Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical

Monitors the take-off process and consolidates the information in a single BOQ document for each project. Keeps record of the current market costs & prices for equipment, materials and labour in an “always updated data base” for the use of QS engineers.
Keeps record of the technical PR´s and the related offers received from Procurement. Raises alert or rejects offers whenever the purchase amount exceeds the limit of the budget.
Coordinates visit to building sites whenever on-site take-off is needed or site inspections for costing purposes are required.
Keeps record of the alterations to the initial BOQ either by Variation orders or RFE´s and updates the BOQ accordingly. Reports to higher manager whenever the margins considered during take-off are affected by V.O´s or RFE´s.
May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
College Degree (preferably Mechanical Engineering background)
3-5 Years experience
A sound knowledge on interior fit-out project implementation
Knowledgeable with technical design and implementation for Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics
