Job Description Responsible for purchasing activities including developing and monitoring supply sources, negotiating contracts with suppliers and preparing purchase orders
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers
Determine quantity and timing of delivery based on requirements
Negotiate with suppliers and close agreements at optimal terms
Perform initiatives to improve supplier terms and decrease product costs
Ensure related purchase order/contract documentation is complete
Resolves discrepancies, errors or any other purchasing issues
Maintains effective coordination with different departments
Performs other job duties as required
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Agriculture Business Management,Food Technology, Biotech or any related field
Must have at least two years of relevant experience in purchasing with technical background
Must have good negotiation skills, effective communication skills
Must have knowledge in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), understanding of legal contracts
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel
