**JOB SUMMARY**

This position is responsible for providing support in supply management and logistics operations specifically on purchasing.
**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Process purchase and requisition orders based on purchase requisition regarding finished goods or raw materials, services, equipment, and office supplies;
- Assists in keeping purchasing records of orders complete and updated at all times and follows up with suppliers on prices, shipment, stock availability, and delivery;
- Helps in preparing documents, reports, and mode of payments relating to purchasing and canvassing activities;
- Assists in communicating with suppliers and suggests corrective actions if a problem arises;
- Assists in inspecting all supplies and products purchased to assure conformance with specifications and quality standards and ensure delivery of purchase orders at the right time;
- Supports in monitoring shipment activities regarding staggered and distribution of products in the entire branches of the organization;
- Checks and ensures suppliers have an optimum level of stocks;
- Assists in procuring and canvassing various materials, goods and services;
- Provides information on current developments in the field of purchasing, prices, market conditions, and new products as may be directed by the immediate superior;
- Coordinates in other Supply Management and Logistics divisions for the fastest transaction activities;
- Maintains records, contracts, and agreements, and organizes the files and archive system to facilitate expeditious retrieval of information;
- Responds to inquiries, suggestions, or complaints regarding concerning purchasing services;
- Responsible for shipment activities regarding staggered delivery, wet and dry products for the provincial area;
- Performs related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
- A graduate of business management, business administration, marketing, mass communications, or any related courses;
- Preferably with at least one (1) year of experience as a purchasing assistant in a corporate environment or equivalent professional practice;
- Good decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Good written and communication skills;
- Highly organized and has an eye for detail;
- Self-motivated and hardworking;
- Positive personal values and strong work ethic;
- Physically fit;
- Strict in implementing rules, regulations, and policies.
