Job Description:
Earn revenues for the company while maintaining liquidity of instruments within the market making responsibility through the posting of bid and ask orders throughout the trading day. Instruments include the Exchange Traded Funds that the company is a market maker of. Comply with all PSE, SEC and other rules and regulations related to market making transactions. Prepare records and documentary requirements as needed. Review financial periodicals, stock and bond reports, business publications, or other material to identify potential investments and to keep abreast of trends affecting market conditions. Review all securities transactions to ensure accuracy of information and conformance to governing agency regulations. Prepare reports to monitor market making functions. Analyze market conditions to determine optimum times to execute securities transactions. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: College graduate of a four-year business course preferably in economics, financial management, commerce or any financial related course. Experience: 2-6 years experience in stock trading and equity research. Knowledge: Capital markets, i.e. debt and equity market (local and global), economics and politics. Technical analysis. Basic programming is an advantage. Skills: Proficient in financial analysis, must be good in economics and quantitative analysis. Skilled in technical analysis, Good evaluative/inferential reasoning, Personality: Must be a disciplined trader, humble, must be able to cut losses without hesitation, must be decisive, able to place a trade when odds are favorable but not perfect. Must be adaptable, passionate about learning, constantly keeping abreast of trends and current events, especially trade related developments in business, economics and politics.
