Job Summary
We are looking for a
licensed Civil Engineer
with proven experience in construction estimating to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and bid proposals for commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects.
In periods with minimal estimating workload, the successful candidate will provide engineering support through QA/QC inspections, punchlisting, site coordination, and other project-related tasks to assist the Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Estimating
Review architectural, structural, MEPF, and other construction drawings and specifications.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
Develop accurate project cost estimates and budgets.
Prepare bid proposals and tender documents.
Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs.
Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
Maintain and update unit cost databases and pricing references.
Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management during the bidding process.
QA/QC and Engineering Support
Conduct site inspections as assigned.
Assist in QA/QC inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Prepare punchlists and monitor completion of corrective works.
Coordinate with Project Engineers regarding quality concerns and site issues.
Assist in project documentation, inspections, and close-out requirements.
Perform other engineering-related duties as may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Licensed Civil Engineer (Required).
At least
3 years of relevant experience
in construction estimating, quantity take-offs, and project costing.
Experience in commercial, industrial, warehouse, showroom, or residential construction projects is preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEPF drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of construction estimating software is an advantage.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and construction standards.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Willing to conduct site visits and travel to project locations when necessary.
