Job description
PPIC Supervisor is responsible for the over-all performance of the Production Planning and Inventory Control Department.
He/ She performs the following functions: coordination with the Marketing Department, also with Production and scheduling of shipments; checking all information contained in the Job Orders and Route Sheets; monitoring of materials and supplies to assure timely deliveries and arrivals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure Job Orders from Marketing.
Coordinate with Production Design on material specifications: quantity and quality.
Based on specifications, Plans material requirements and coordinates with stockroom and purchasing for verification of stock level and preparation of requisitions/purchase orders, if necessary.
Plan inventory of entire stocks and produced output from production.
Monitors and follow up:
Material & Supplies
Work Accomplishment/Daily Status (by department/subcontractor)
Make the necessary follow-up to make sure that materials/supplies arrive on time.
Inspect conformance to standards of delivered materials. Follows up with purchasing delivery of delayed materials.
Sets daily targets and assigns tasks to all his/her subordinates.
Ensure that all his/her subordinates perform their jobs according to the Standard Operating Procedures in order to achieve the highest efficiency.
Maintain a complete and accurate record of his subordinates’ performance.
Recommend necessary changes which will improve the performance of his department.
Train his/her subordinates as well as subcontractors on the proper procedures in making and checking components/products;
Inspect his/her section at the end of the work day: makes sure that all equipment and whole area is clean, all important documents are kept under lock and key.
COMPETENCIES
Candidate must possess Bachelor's College Degree in Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
Must have no less than one year experience in production planning in the manufacturing of furniture or any equivalent.
Excellent skills in planning and inventory procedures are required.
Meticulous with details is a must.
Proficient in material planning and scheduling.
Matured and goal directed and committed to attainment of plans and objectives
High Level of Management Skills particularly in Diagnostic Skills.
Harmonious relationship with superiors, peers and subordinates.
Production output according to standards, as per schedule, and conforms to the quality standards of the company.
Accuracy and punctuality in submitting reports.
Safety and housekeeping in the department.
Good in alternative planning.
