Play a lead role in our practice’s success – from safety and standardization, to the implementation of a new treatment planning system. Actively participate in standard radiation therapy physics activities, including machine calibrations, equipment QA, treatment planning, dosimertry measurements, calculations, brachytherapy, and radiation safety. Utilize your technology experience with Aria, Eclipse, and BrainLab. Share your experience with technology including TrueBeam, Vision RT, and Calypso. Introduce new treatment models and techniques. Conduct research and stay current with the field, and share your findings in our culture of collaboration.
Preferred Criteria
Board certification from the American Board of Radiology
Required Criteria
NYS-licensed medical physicistor Limited Permit from the Department of Education (required to obtain NYS license within 2 years) or out of state licensed medical physicist seeking reciprocity
Master’s degree in physics or medical physics, or a Ph.D. in basic physicsor related field in combination with a post doctorate fellowship/traineeship in medical physics
At least 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology Physics practice
Flexibility to share on call responsibility
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to drive change and effectively collaborate
