MD24 House Call is looking for a Legal - IP Specialist who will function mainly as a Provisional Patent Writer playing a critical role in effectively writing and communicating our software or device’s contents and functionalities by creating technical functional documentation that will primarily be used as reference material(s) for patent filings. Legal Specialist will also be working on other minor IP tasks such as but not limited to trademarks, trade names and copyright. If qualify, will evolve into R&D plus prosecution planning and execution. Essential Job Functions: • Communicate and work well with our contracted IP attorneys in writing and in monitoring IP applications most particularly, patent applications as well as the filing and monitoring of IP prosecution matters.• Understand the MD24 models thoroughly, then prepare requirements and timely file IP applications.• Draft patent applications with clarity and technical accuracy.• Learn about a variety of new technologies, learn to identify inventive features, learn to describe the inventions, distinguish prior patents andpublications, draft arguments, learn claim drafting and stay up-to-date with case law.• Possess the ability to explain and describe new technologies in a way that is concise and descriptive, as well as understandable.• Work well with the Legal Team and other stakeholders and collaborators on IP related tasks.• Perform such other duties and responsibilities necessary, required and ancillary to the role and position.Minimum Qualifications: • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills• Have exceptional attention to detail and a strong will to learn• At least one year of Technical Writing experience in Intellectual Property particularly in writing patents for healthcare; • With three to five years legal experience; at least 3rd yr in law school• Willingness to ask questions, learn from the answers and document your understanding of “fundamental” basics of science. • Strong attention to detail, self-management, initiative, discipline and ability to follow through• Quick learner and ability to move forward in progress in the absence of direct expertise and oversight• Extremely proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word; as well as Adobe Acrobat• Ability to maintain and observe utmost confidentiality• Has command responsibility and accountability based on SOP, Workflow, processes and quantifiable IP measures. • Ability to work well independently and/or with a teamSalary: Php 40,000 - Php 60,000
