RESPONSIBILITIES:
Helps in preparing the food products and all cooking responsibilities such as mixing ingredients, making batter, pouring the batter in molds and baking it, decorating the baked products with icing, nuts or fruits pieces and crushed chocolate, etc.
Responsible in maintaining the kitchen supplies and purchasing various ingredients required for the making of the bakery products. The Baker checks the schedule of orders every day and ensure whether the required ingredients are available in sufficient quantities. Makes sure that all ingredients are on hand at all times to prepare pastries and other dessert items.
Maintains inventory of food items, rotate stock, manage the safe storage of refrigerated and non-refrigerated items, and order ingredients as needed.
Takes care of the kitchen equipment and instruments that are used for baking, and replaces the equipment that have become obsolete with the new ones.
Communicates with the current and potential customers on behalf of the store. Responds to their questions, suggestions, and complaints. He interacts with the store customers and sells them the bakery products. He takes down orders for parties and makes suggestions for cakes, biscuits, cookies, and pastries to be supplied for the parties.
Makes sure the bakery is kept clean and food items are stored under hygienic conditions (includes disinfecting the food preparation areas and performing necessary maintenance to electric food preparation equipment to keep them in working condition)
Monitors food handling procedures, overseeing proper disposal of outdated foods, and managing the training of kitchen staff in safety practices. The Baker also submits necessary reports and meet with health officials during inspections to explain compliance procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:Candidate must be at least a high school graduate or a vocational course graduate, preferably with TESDA certification on Culinary Arts or Baking
Proficient in cooking skills, especially in cooking bakery products
Has at least 1 year working experience in a restaurant and/or bakeshop
Must have creative skills and innovation abilities that will help in decorating the products and make it tempting for the customers
