Optical Test & Turn-Up Support

We’re looking to hireOptical Test & Turn-up Supportwho will be responsible for working with the installation teams to perform pre-service testings of SONET / ROADM equipment and optical facilitiesWe’re looking for top-notch people with coachable attitudes so this isn’t for everyone.
As a Optical Test & Turn-up Support you will:

Establish remote communications to newly installed equipment.
Testing, troubleshooting, provisioning and turn-up of 10Gig and 100Gig circuits, performed by collaborating with COEI/field forces.
Database newly installed equipment in various database’s and element management systems.
Control and direct test efforts of employees at remote sites when applicable.
Maintain and keep detailed records in provisioning systems to communicate current status and road blocks.
Complete parameter and measurements testing focusing on SONET and ROADM technologies utilizing remote test devices.
Administering Equipment within various Element Management Systems.
Perform in-service hardware and software upgrades on SONET and ROADM equipment.
Assist Provisioning Center and field forces with coordinated in-service migrations of customer traffic.
Assist Network Provisioning Center with day to day support questions.
Work with Regional Engineering teams for new product roll outs and SONET/ROADM Architecture clarifications.
Work with design teams to ensure that documented designs agree with actual installation specifics.
What are the basic requirements:

Knowledge of SONET and ROADM equipment and turn up processes.
Knowledge of SONET and ROADM architectures and provisioning processes
A clear understanding of TCP/IP networking including sub netting and the OSI model.
Proficient with standard Microsoft suite of products and Windows software applications.
