Job Description
Perform Day-to-Day Outbound operations, assisting and supporting Supervisor/Manager in Sortation Centre administration. Reports Directly to Supervisor/Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound docks for vehicular movement into assigned dispatching slot bays.
- Scan parcels for outbound vehicles based on Standard Operations Process.
- Ensure load the scan parcels onto outbound vehicles based on Standard Operations Process.
- Physically check vehicles are locked and all shipments loaded before allow vehicles to depart.
- Ensures that Critical Handover Scans are completed and in place
- Ensures shipments are shipped to appropriate Hubs and location to ensure timely delivery
- Complies with Regional Sortation Centre’s, material handling requirements by adherence to Standard Operations Process requirements; provides feedback on truck loading and suggestions for improvements
- Tag and seal all departing vehicles with vehicle security tags.
- Perform proper stacking, loading and securing of shipments on vehicles and transportation equipment such as cages & pallets.
- Low-level incident reporting, investigating & escalation to Outbound Supervisor on timeliness of vehicle departures and operational compliances on safety, process and procedures.
- Ensure handover report in compliance with handover procedures and ensure physical count of all shipments are reconciled with system.
- Assist Supervisor/Manager with administrative duties such as sickness, roster, absence & holiday duties planning
- Perform any additional duties as required by Management
Job Requirements
In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have or be:
- Physically Fit and able to handle unloading and reloading of shipments
- Experience in loading, stacking and following standard processes in operational environment.
- Ability to handle motorised MHEs e.g. Electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. is preferred
- Good computer skills – spreadsheet and word processing
- Able to handle Shift Work including night shift
