The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at James Madison University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Lecturer position, starting August 2020. The department includes approximately 50 faculty and offers Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Statistics. Application materials must be submitted through JobLink.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include teaching up to 12 credit hours per semester and department service. Teaching assignments will include sections of courses in calculus, college algebra, and introductory mathematics.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have at least a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics (or the equivalent thereof). Graduate work in mathematics is preferred. We are especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated commitment towards building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
Pay Rate:Commensurate with Experience
