Job Description:
To lead, direct, and control the activities of the operating unit so that is achieves its short and long-term financial and operating objectives as set by the overall corporate business plan. Set and monitor the performance of business unit heads against standard and targets in areas such as production, administration efficiency, sales revenue, legal compliance and human resources management.
Duties & Responsibilities: Defines and identifies the sales activity of the operating unit inclusive of the sales distribution, marketing plans and programs, supply & control, quality assurance, accounting & administration. Establishes the sales & marketing objectives, policies, and standards & schedules to ensure quality and cost effectiveness. Ensures the establishment of relationship between the operating unit and the vendors Directs the marketing strategy on product positioning, market penetration and pricing Establishes the medium and long range planning process and the new business programs, if any Leads sales and marketing initiatives Adjust marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions Conducts market survey. Oversees product development Launches new products Manages office administration Identifies continuous improvement program in all areas of responsibilities Assesses performance of direct reports Rationalizes and maximizes the use of work force and operates within approved budget. Plans people development by identifying individual competency requirement and assessment while conducting mentorship and in-house technical training. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree graduate, preferably business course or any related course; MBA or with units (an advantage) At least 5 – 7 yrs. related work experience in a similar position, preferably in trade and distribution industry Knowledge of local laws and regulations, strong people skills, computer literate, good communication skills and excellent salesmanship, familiar in trade and distribution business. Speaks Cebuano, Ilongo and any other Visayan dialects
