Job Description:
Set up and maintain database servers and applications Act as subject matter expert for the company in the area of information management in the form of data, being conversant to both back and front end users Design, implement and modify database architecture to support both back end technical and front end access requirements Plan, allocate and refine storage capacity requirements, including for database log, backup and archive purposes Ensure adherence to data governance procedures and policies Provision user access permissions and privileges in relevance to data security Monitor and optimize database performance Generate reports for business and regulatory Thus, the database administrator shall be accountable to :
Sustainability of database service and storage capacity Availability of data in accordance to agreed SLA Data and reports integrity and consistency Proper permissions and privileges that are attached to database users Clear definition and documentation of data Minimalization of data redundancy Minimum Qualifications:
Minimal bachelor degree from information or computer related subject, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Tecnology, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics major contentrating in computer programming. Deep understanding of structured query language (SQL) Have a good knowledge (certified will be preferreable) and experience in RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) and web aplications Have a good knowledge and experience in Data Governance, including data architecture, data security (e.g. Data Protection Act), data quality management, referrence and master data management, etc. Have a good knowledge in Big Data solutions is preferrable General understanding in operating systems, networking and storage technologies Have a good analytical thinking & critical Attention to detail and accuracy Systematical approach to problem definition and solution design Discipline in documentation of work Flexibility on a stretched working hour to deliver urgent task Excellent communication skills and fluency in English Having experience in financial industry would be huge plus Keen learner and quick adapter to changes and rapid growth as is required in a start up culture Highly motivated and innovative problem solving Strong analytical and planning skills
