Programmer

Position Overview:
The Programmer is responsible for development and maintenance of systems and applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop software applications.
Confirm project requirements by reviewing application objectives, input data, and output requirements with Senior Programmer/TSD Manager and the client.
Arrange project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements and preparing a work flow diagram
Conduct trial runs and implement revisions to systems applications
Document programs and revisions, if any
Submit regular progress reports on projects and other assigned tasks
Research and study developments in software and enterprise solutions
Perform other duties related to the foregoing which may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
Graduate of a computer-related course
At least one year experience in development of software applications and systems
Basic knowledge of systems development life cycle and principles of database design
Knowledge in basic object-oriented programming and development tools such as Ruby on Rails, PHP and .NET and knowledge of different operating systems
Knowledge in database management systems such as MySQL, etc.
Very good verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English
Ability to manage time and resources well
Critical thinking
Ability to work in a team
Good moral character
Honesty and integrity
