Job Description:
Job Summary: This role has the objective of ensuring all projects are delivered using a ‘best-practice’ Project Delivery Approach and are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality. It is expected to provide strong leadership in a matrix environment to promote best practices in managing interrelated projects and programmes to ensure successful delivery. Additionally, this role is also responsible for identifying prospective opportunities/initiatives, developing customer relationships, and implementing initiatives for business units. He/She will also be responsible for maintaining good relationship with business units and act as the counterpart for business units related to technology needs/requirements/initiatives.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute to organisational business and budget planning process; Proactively engage with Senior Management (i.e Directors, GM, SM) in Business Units to identify opportunities for business improvements; Conduct research to identify new technologies, initiatives and customer needs Manage the administration for project submissions and approvals through the agreed prioritisation and approval process, maintaining a pipeline of approved projects; Work closely with Business Application Services teams (as well as internal and external project partners where appropriate) to devise, develop and deliver appropriate and proportionate systems to evaluate key activities at a project level; Ensure detailed project, implementation or actions plans are created for the duration of each project as appropriate; Ensure projects have requirements documented and agreed to ensure that project activity meets agreed project objectives; Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables stakeholders have visibility and sufficient information to make the required decisions; Monitor the quality of project deliverables and ensure project objectives are met; Participate in project reviews, approvals, and gating processes; Ensure effective communication to the project teams, internal and external stakeholders, partners, suppliers and customers; Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively managed to minimise disruption to successful delivery; Ensure the appropriate and relevant level of testing is in place for all projects e.g. system, regression, UAT with stakeholder sign-off as part of the gating process; Ensure standardised and relevant document templates are available from a central repository for both the PMO and business project team members; Ensure resource availability and allocation; Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors; Ensure a smooth hand-over to the Service Delivery team, and any other supporting functions identified
Minimum Qualifications:
Min. Experience: +8 yrs Strong analytical and logical thinking; Good communication and presentation skills; Excellent problem-solving skills; Excellent business process knowledge; Good understanding of PMP (Project Management Professional); Strong knowledge on Risk & Issue Management; Able to manage through organizational change; Able to present ideas in a user-friendly language; Having experiences in multi-industries environments is an advantage
