Job Description :The Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for all back-end systems. This includes (but is not limited to) alert management of client hardware, network health, and business continuity. They ensure best-practice set up and maintenance of these alerting systems. They also support and manage all internal line of business applications.
As the NOC Engineer (Network Operations Center Tech) you will be assisting in these overall responsibilities of the NOC. You will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of servers, networks, phone systems, desktops, applications, and critical processes. At this role, you will be serving as an escalation point and expected to engineer solutions when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuous Network monitoring & managing services and troubleshooting problem areas as needed Diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic problems related to availability, security, performance, connectivity and overall functionality
Alert management and standard business hours technicians of outages occurring during overnight hours that go into business day or which may have an impact on standard business hours
Scheduled network performance reports
Network detection, diagnosis, and assessment
Monitor, document, and resolve issues in a timely manner
Monitor patching of workstations and servers, taking action as required
Data backup, management, and storage, including monitoring and testing
Antivirus, firewall, and other security scanning and resolution.
Advise on monitoring templates and policies and assist to create better ways to automate work
QUALIFICATIONS
Junior to Senior positions available.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
TCP/IP networking stack, switches, routers and firewalls
VLAN configuration and the ability to support
Peripheral devices, including network printers, scanners, etc.
Anti-Virus and malware protection solutions
Backup Technologies (ShadowProtect)
Microsoft Office 365 Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS & DHCP
