Canva has grown exponentially with over 15 million users across 190 countries and has been localised into 100+ different languages. As we continue to skyrocket, we aim to provide our millions of users with the most in-demand designs, templates, icons, photos and directing them to Canva as their go-to design platform.
We have launched Canva for Print, one of our biggest initiatives where Canva users get to create beautiful designs on the web and with a few clicks, they get to have their designs printed and delivered to their doorstep! As we continue to expand our Canva for Print service, we are committed in ensuring we provide top-notch support to our users.
We are looking for Prepress Designers whose mission is to promote customer happiness by ensuring all designs created by our users are error-free and are production-ready. This role will significantly help Canva achieve its goal of empowering the world to design by being the bridge between our users and their design needs. This person will be part of the Prepress Review Team for Print and will work closely with the Prepress Lead in Manila.
What you'll do... Performing quality assurance process for pushed designs for print Executing necessary steps to fix errors seen between original design and file exported for print Documenting the issues and the corrections made Preparing files for production and making sure prepressed files are uploaded back into the Canva system Performing preflight processes to make sure there are no errors before sending to print Maintaining accuracy in checking and sending error-free designs for production Meeting with team members on a regular basis to continuously improve the prepress system It would also be advantageous if you have: Proficient knowledge of Canva Proficient knowledge of prepress and printing standards Proficient knowledge of CMYK, RGB, color modes, conversion Organizational skills, adaptability and composure under fire are equally important Agency or production design experience Benefits Equity options In-house chefs that cook delicious breakfast and lunch for us each day Fitness membership allowance Sponsored social clubs and team events Fun and quirky celebrations Minimum Qualifications:
Must be highly proficient in industry-standard design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and other applicable programs Ability to work on a 24/7 shifting schedule Love for the technical side of design Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn existing and contribute to creating new workflows Ability to prepare projects for print is essential Strong project management skills, organisational skills and time-management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with team and help with escalating issues to engineers
