Overview
Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the precast plant
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Focus on profitability objectives within the area.
Ensure all of Lafarge Safety procedures and practices are adhered to at all times.
Ensure all assets (equipment) are maintained and utilized efficiently.
Ensure that all products meet and or exceed the Best Practices for Quality Assurance.
Profile:
Provide accurate and timely reports including time, production, materials, etc.
Maintain a daily project diary
Fully trained in the operation and capability of the equipment, workmanship and understand the operations of the job
Provide specialized tools, train, supervise, and act as a mentor to Lead hands
Ability to work as a team
Able and willing to train personnel to enhance their performance
Maintain and develop strong working relationships with internal or external customers
Capable of adapting to change in people, equipment, materials and new technology
Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings
Must be aware of production expectations and job costs
Daily inspections and documentation
Administer safety policies and programs to LCM personnel, subcontractors and subtrades (includes all required meetings an reports)
Monitor projects on a regular basis to ensure safety standards are being met
Participate in and attend all pre-construction, safety, supervisors meetings
Assist superintendents with cost control
Ensure all inspections and deficiencies are completed in order to obtain completion certificates
Safety:
Provide a safe working environment for workers on site
Follow rules, safe work practices and procedures
Perform job duties in a manner that will not create a hazard to their own health and safety, or the health and safety of other employees
Maintain a clean and safe worksite
Identify and report workplace hazards and help their control or elimination
Wear required personal protective equipment (this includes hard hats, gloves, reflective vests, hearing and eye protection and protective footwear)
Immediately report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor
Hold regular safety meetings
Environment:
Ensure that all spills are contained as quickly as possible
Report spills to your supervisor immediately
Ensure that all spills kits are available and procedures are followed
Qualifications

Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather
