The Network Architect supports commercial and internal sales opportunities.
Their role in the sales cycle is to provide leadership and design assistance to the Sales Engineers, Partner Channel, Strategic Account Management and other Sales Engagement Teams.
Solutions Architects also aid in the creation of custom or non-standard solutions that meet the client's requirements while maintaining the ability to be supported effectively by the standard operations group, in addition to defining standards to be used across the organization.
The objectives for this position will be met by providing technical design, integration, verification/validation, stability and supportability for all Hosting, Network and Storage technologies.
Additionally, this person will create test environments to validate configurations while producing high quality documentation so custom solutions can be implemented and supported using standard procedures.
This will all serve as an avenue to meet our customers' needs while accomplishing them in the most supportable fashion available.
**Responsibilities**:
- Architect solutions for business requirements involving advanced networks (performance & management), VoIP and converged technologies.
- IT system/architecture requirements (including development of fault and performance management policies and automation rules)
- Create and support delivery documentation
- Interface and interact with customers on a semi-regular basis.
- Participate and potentially lead innovation designs and implementation of tools
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields
- At least 6 years in experience in a solution-oriented technical design and engineering role, with an emphasis on advanced networks, and convergence solutions.
Data and IP Services (MPLS, VoIP, VPN, IP PBX)
- Managed Network Services (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Managed IP PBX)
- Solution conceptualization, definition and development with a focus on revenue generation and assurance
- Ability to create and review technical documentation (RFIs, RFPs, SOWs, SLAs, BOMs )
- Strong knowledge of overall network technology experience with fundamental understanding of WAN, LAN, Wireless, IPT and Optimization services

- Excellent customer facing skills (oral and written), a passion for customer satisfaction, and adherence to support service level agreements
