Job Purpose:
What does the job do for the Company?
The position is responsible for the proper operation of the company network infrastructure. These include the proper configuration and maintenance of devices (switches, routers, etc) and site support for PABX and VOIP phones.
Job Accountabilities Ensure those network assets are properly configured, documented, monitored and properly supported/maintained. Diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve and/or escalate reported incidents of service disruptions caused by network defects. Proactively monitor for instances of connectivity issues covering head office and remote / branch sites. Ensure that all network assets are within useful lifecycle and are supported by applicable service agreements from accredited service providers. Ensure that all network assets are properly logged/recorded in the configuration management database (CMDB). Coordinate with service providers for activities covering connectivity and structured cabling in support of business operations. Provide onsite support for PABX and telephony, and coordinate with service providers for its proper upkeep. Review and facilitate requests for firewall configurations in support of the deployment of applications and services. Ensures that all compliance matters are identified and openly and honestly reported to the Line Manager and/or Compliance Officer in accordance with the reporting requirements operated within the work unit and the Company. Perform other functions as may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Professional Qualification:
Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
With working experience on Telephony and Network Management
Knowledge: (Technical, Product, Industry, etc.) Cisco router and switch configuration Network monitoring tools via Solarwinds Proxy management and administration Bluecoat Administration Avaya IVRS System Administration Knowledgeable on IOS devices Skills/Competencies which are critical to job success: Good collaboration skills Analyzing and critical thinking Time management Interpersonal skills Lifelong learning Customer service oriented Years of Relevant Experience (Please state if management experience is required): 1 to 2 years working experience as Network Specialist
