Metadata Editor (Inca)

Job Description:
Position Summary: The Metadata Editor reviews and edits the episode synopsis, segment and story highlights, and tags provided by the metadata writer for programs and content of Integrated News and published on various digital platforms, including, but not limited to, Newspedia.


Scope of Work: Previews program episodes and verifies information for each episode Checks and ensures the accuracy of episode synopsis, segment and story highlights/clip log lines, and English/Filipino log lines and tags provided by the metadata writer/AI for each episode/ clip; writes these in absence of the metadata writer/s Conducts one-on-one mentoring to metadata writers to ensure consistency in their quality of work Creates basic sequences and processes transcoding and exporting of assigned program episodes Assists in AI integration and Machine Learning processes Plays a key role in metadata development Minimum Qualifications:
College Graduate (4-year course) Journalism, Literature, Mass Communication or any related course preferred Can work under pressure and meet deadlines Keen with details Flexible and can work with minimum supervision Good editorial judgement Excellent oral and written skills
