requirements:Medical technologist is responsible in performing accurate, efficient and proper routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures which may include: biochemistry, clinical microscopy, hematology, histopathology, microbiology, serology and phlebotomy. he / she must strictly adhere to the required protocols with regards to: running of control results, specimen handling and labeling, processing, test analysis and validation, reporting of test results and maintaining of patients records. He/ she shall hold best diagnostic corporation and its management, free and harmless from any and all suits and damages, that may occur due to any erroneous or inaccurate results released by the main laboratory, hence exercise of proper and diligent care is highly expected from his / her end in the performance of his / her functions, especially in the handling of abnormal and panic test results.responsibilities:1. monitors daily the temperature of the refrigerator in the designated work area.
2. disinfects daily the designated work area.
3. does daily maintenance of instruments and machines.
4. runs daily control of results and makes adjustments to know standards.
5. calibrates test reagents.
6. reports the control results to the pathologist.
7. prepares reagents, logbooks, safety and protective devices to be used.
8. checks pending specimens and endorsements from previous day.
9. does actual processing of the requested tests for the specimens.
10. reviews test results.
11. checks patients previous results, asks for the history and diagnosis of the patient, informs the supervisor and coordinates with the pathologist , if any abnormal result(s) was obtained from the patients test(s).
