Medical Supervisor

We are a manning agency and we are looking for an experiencedMedical Supervisorwho will be responsible for medical related arrangements for all our departing crew members.
This position will directly communicate with the principal, company doctor, company heads, and crew members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
College graduate, any healthcare course
Preferably with 5 years experience in healthcare
Conversant in spoken and written English and medical terminologies
Can work under time pressure and long hours and outside of domicile
Keen, patient, good bedside manners, positive demeanor
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Proven work experience as a team leader
Registered Nurse is an advantage
Willing to work in Makati

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes open communication with accredited medical clinics and facilitates medical appointments for departing crew to undergo medical examinations and swab test for COVID-19
Ensures presence of crew on appointment dates
Conducts investigation on COVID-19 positive crew members and reports them to the local government units and barangay for proper isolation and transport to the designated quarantine facilities
Keeps self-informed about the latest travel information and medical requirements of the embassies and the principals
Checks if medical examination results are “complied” or “pending”. Clarify what action is needed on the “pending” cases: laboratory, surgery, dental clearance and the like
Secures medical clearance of crew
Acts as the point of contact of all principals for medical related queries and concerns. Oversees all medical coordinators and provide prompt resolutions on issues, when needed
Maintains, scans and secure all medical records and certificates of crew members
Verifies clinics’ billings and forward to accounting for payment processing. Keeps the receiving copy
Provides initial computation on sick wages and validates all medical reimbursement claims of crew members
Advises new hire to submit receipt for reimbursement
Plans arrangements for repatriated seafarers for referral to affiliated post-medical services center
Forwards medical status through email to all crewing coordinators
Supervises crew in making medical claims with PandiPhil as well as benefits claims from SSS and Philhealth
Prepares documents for withdrawals for those declared unfit
Conducts daily telephonic checks with clinics to inquire on status of crewmembers
Monitors wellness of crew on maintenance drugs
Coordinates with affiliated post-medical centers for crew needing medical attention but are ambulatory
Makes oral and electronic report to superiors or coordinators, as necessary
Performs other tasks, as necessary
