Responsibilities: Create and update Item and Supplier data in the system through data coordination with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Supplier, and 3rd party data sources.
Ensure quality of Item and Supplier master data in MRP systems and documentation of processes to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
Conduct data quality analyses and data cleaning to rid systems of old, unused, inaccurate, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access.
Active participation in developing the process and lead improvement initiatives related to Item and Supplier data management.
Responsible for developing and conducting trainings on Item and Supplier data management
Communicate any changes on Item and Supplier data management process to regional and global Procurement teams
Support the Supplier onboarding process as gatekeeper by ensuring compliance to all data standards/process as part of the approval process and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Management or related-discipline
At least 5 years experience in Master Data Management of Supplier, Purchased Items, and other similar master data
Experience with end-to-end Master Data Management solution and effective data quality management practices
Experience in using ERP or Master Data Management systems • Applicable knowledge of data maintenance through ERP interface
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience with analyzing large data sets in Excel, deriving insights, and setting action plans
A strong understanding of how Supplier and Purchased Item master data is used by the system in business processes (ex. Planning, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, etc.)
