JOB SUMMARYMarketing Services Officer interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products. They play a critical role in providing an interface between customer and company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Maintain data base of customers for easy and accessible transactions.2. Receive, verify, and respond to customer orders thru fax, telephone, or email.3. Answer customer inquiries on product specification, pricing, availability, delivery procedures, etc.4. Gather customer information; purchase order, product specifications by phone or in person.5. Coordinate with concerned departments regarding product sampling, job order, delivery schedule, invoicing, collection, etc.6. Look into and resolve discrepancies and complaints on invoices and other related matters.7. Ensure that delivery commitments to customers are met.8. Maintain good customer relations.9. Handle and resolve customer complaints courteously and tactfully.10. Perform telemarketing to promote company name, products and services to prospective customers.11. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales report for submission to Accounting Department and Sales Director.12. Regularly clean and maintain organized work area. Perform 5S activities in support of the 5S program.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSThorough product knowledge. Full understanding of customer service philosophy and procedures of the company. Resourceful, flexible, and have a strong sense of urgency. Keenness to details and high tolerance to stress especially in meeting deadlines.Ability to be persuasive with customers, keeping "customer satisfaction" as a guiding factor.Ability to respond to pressing demands of external and internal customers pertaining to availability of stocks, production and delivery schedules with tact, urgency, and discretion.Ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints and to remain courteous when faced with difficult or angry people.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.Ability to work independently or in a team within specified time constraints.Ability to analyze and solve problems.Desired skills include strong negotiation, customer service and phone skills, interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, verbal communication, and listening skills.Additionally, if communication through e-mail is necessary, good typing, spelling and written communication skills are especially importantJOB SPECIFICATIONSWork is normally performed in a typical interior or office work environment.
