DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Establish and implement strategic marketing and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporateobjectives relative to the achievement of annual premium targets, profitability andsustainability.2. Develop effective marketing strategies in order to capitalize on market opportunities.3. Conceptualize and develop new partnerships or product and service offerings to increasemarket penetration and expansion.4.
Manage the conduct of market research and analysis to generate up-to-date market intelligenceon competitors’ products and market needs.5. Direct the following:? implementation of approved policies, plans and budgets to achieve the established overallobjectives and targets of the Department;? establishment and monitoring of new business development programs and initiatives;? periodic assessment of results versus plans to determine the need for modification inmarketing strategies as a result of changing market and competitive conditions;? preparation of business proposals defining the needs of the clients or the products orservices that the Company may offer;? regular review of existing intermediaries and partners to evaluate performance and businessdistribution;? establishment and management of business relationships with intermediaries and affinitypartners; and? submission of timely and accurate reports on sales activities and performance toManagement.6. Develop, implement and evaluate communication programs relative to advertisement ofproducts and services using media (e.g., print, broadcast, digital), events and sales promotion.7.
Formulates compensation schemes, sales drives and incentives to leverage the Company’sstrategic relationship with intermediaries and partners.8. Monitor and assess business, political and economic conditions for possible opportunities andthreats to the operations of the Department and recommends timely and appropriate coursesof action.9. Monitor regularly the performance of the Department versus plans, budgets, and standards,analyzes deviations, pinpoints areas for improvement and directs appropriate courses ofaction to ensure prompt and proper solution.10.
Direct, guide, train, motivate and evaluate performance of officers/staff directly supervised. Promotes staff development to support and ensure proper identification of key talents,creates development plans for staff advancement, and establishes and maintains successionplans for key positions within the Department.11. Ensure coordination and harmonious working relations between/among the staff within theDepartment and with other work units of the Division and the Company.12.
Formulate monitoring systems and control measures to improve processes and efficiency ofthe Department.13. Ensure adherence of staff to all Company policies, procedures and controls.14. Represent the Department in Division/Management meetings.15.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation : Bachelor’s degree
Experience : Minimum of ten (10) years solid marketing-related experience in an insuranceindustry; at least five (5) years in managerial capacity
