Summary:
The Manager for Business Intelligence (BI) will be a key contributor to Dexcom's Global Business Services model. You will lead a Business Intelligence team that support key areas of data management, data analytics, business / strategic intelligence, research, dashboard development, reporting, and simple applications development and support.

Functional Description:
Lead the PH GBS Business Intelligence (BI) Service Delivery team that defines, monitors, manages and provides centralized reporting on service delivery performance of all PH GBS Functions (Towers) as a shared resource. This role will also provide service performance insights to key stakeholders, evaluating service delivery against expected performance standards. Monitor service delivery to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in coordination with the key stakeholders. Establish and monitor the following: KPI/SLA standards on GBS Compliance, Quality, Efficiency, Effectiveness; throughput (volume); and Talent (HR). Lead/support the analysis, build and transition of Global Reporting into a centralized service line.

Where you come in:
I. You are responsible for the planning, management, and accountability of the activities of the Business Intelligence's Service Delivery team that leads initiatives to design and build reporting tools, dashboards, and other end-user information portals or resources for GBS stakeholders. This includes identifying, developing, and evaluating team members to ensure efficient and effective operations of all teams/departments.
II. You lead the analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) / service level agreements (SLAs), complex business problems/issues, or industry/market intelligence using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers. These insights may include:
• You identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
• You advise or recommend strategic initiatives or managerial actions anchored on business data and industry or best-in-practice knowledge.
• You provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. You may likewise directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
III. You bring expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multifunctional efforts to interpret and produce recommendations based on company reporting and data needs.
IV. You significantly contribute to the development of innovative and disruptive global big data analytics capabilities for greater functionality in our data systems.
V. You lead, champion, or support initiatives to establish the architecture design and technology roadmap definition for a consolidated data platform (cloud-based or otherwise) where internal and external stakeholders will be serviced. This may include the management of the design, development, and programs, methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions.
VI. You assess, analyze, design, and/or manage the delivery of data warehouse or storage architecture. This includes proactively planning for future opportunities and capabilities.
VII. You ensure that policies and procedures align with the corporate vision.

What makes you successful:
• You have proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI (preferably the former). Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics is a plus.
• You have experience working with relational databases and/or distributed computing platforms, and their query interfaces, such as SQL, Snowflake, and GCP BigQuery. Prior experience with MS Access is also preferred.
• You have experience building and optimizing dashboards/reports, 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• You have experience with survey tools such as Qualtrics, Alchemer (SurveyGizmo), and Microsoft Forms and their related datasets.
• Your strong analytical skills related to working with structured and unstructured datasets are demonstrated through a successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
• You build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• You have experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• You are a team player, capable of conducting independent research, motivated by hard technical challenges.
• You are results-driven, self-motivated, and a self-starter.
• Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex methodologies and analytical results to business insights, are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
• You have proven experience working with Tableau, and related experience with PowerBI would be sufficient.
• You have experience working with data pipelines in a serverless environment (SQL, Snowflake, and GCP BigQuery).
• You have experience working with extremely large data sets.
• You have experience with system integrations.

Education/Experience:
• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry.
• You have a minimum of 3 years in a people management role.
• You have a minimum of 2-5 years of prior experience in a related role.
• You typically require a bachelor's degree or higher from a reputed university in engineering, IT, economics, math, statistics, science, or other related fields in quantitative or analytical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
