Who are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or other science discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logistics
Strong knowledge and expertise of HAZMAT, IMDG and IATA requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of local regulations related to Chemicals
Experience in chemicals/water treatment preferredWhat will you be doing?
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing, aligning, coordinating and balancing the logistics requirements for the SUEZ WTS business.You are responsible for supporting the SUEZ WTS business in arranging timely customer deliveries, both locally and internationally, imports, compliance to customs and regulatory requirement through effective management of 3PL partners.You will be required to focus on achieving performance objectives which are in line with the organisation’s vision and overcome those obstacles that may inhibit SUEZ WTS from achieving these business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Be the focal contact point for customers with regards to Logistics/Supply Chain related inquiries i.e. order and delivery follow up, shipping document preparation, pre-alert notification to customers, etc.
Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain & Customer Service in ASEAN regarding production scheduling and delivery related activities
Ensure customer requirements are met through on time deliveries in accordance to agreed schedules
Monitor warehouse and delivery operations to ensure all agreed procedures and KPIs such as OTD, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, etc. are met
Conduct stock take to ensure inventory accuracy
Manage reverse logistics requirements from customer to SUEZ WTS facilities
Ensure 3PL vendors meet SUEZ WTS requirements on EHS & Compliance through regular audits
Analyse gaps/failures in 3PL vendors and set up corrective and preventive actions
Monitor 3PL vendors invoices to ensure costs are billed correctly and timely
Monitor regulation changes and ensure regulatory compliance in all local aspects i.e. IMDG, IATA, road transport, customs, import/export licenses, labels, DG storage and waste disposal
Initiate and verify cost saving programs such as FTA, shipment consolidation, route optimization and space optimization
Be a company representative to deal with government officials or customers for import/export/customs compliance issues
Have a broad insight into the local/International logistics costs and use that knowledge to bring value and cost out opportunities to the company
Share best practices with counterparts across the region and globally
Additional Requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and local language(s)
Ability to coordinate across functions and locations to ensure successful outcomes
Effective time management skills including sequencing of own work and resource time management
Decision making skills, e.g. quick thinking and confident in outcome
Knowledge of SAP and MS Office software (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned or required
