Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing and controlling the operational aspects of LNG shipping requirements with regards to LNG delivery activities through effective optimisation efforts so as to achieve PETS commercial business objective.
Job Responsibilities:
Post-fixture activities (Agency appointments, Port, Bunkers, Heel, Insurance, Settlements, Demurrage etc.)
Performance monitoring and reporting and claim management
Vessel day-to-day coordination
Communication with vessels, vessel owners/operators and shipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals
Vessel scheduling (jointly with Charterer, Trading and Cargo Operations)
Close co-operation with Charterer, Cargo Operations and Trading
Follow up on all Gassing Up & Cooling Down (GUCD) requirements from 3rd party Ship Owners / Charterers, including commercial negotiations
Job Requirements:
Degree level education (or equivalent), preferably in a maritime discipline
Minimally 3 years of relevant experience in Chartering or Shipping Operations (LNG preferred) within an oil major / trading house
Any sea-going experience on tanker vessels is advantageous.
Knowledge and understanding of multi commodity shipping operations
Good command of written and spoken English
Good computer proficiency and literacy with regard to extensive use and application with spreadsheets, databases and presentation packages
Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
Team player and able to work independently
Experience of negotiating with 3rd parties
