Lien Negotiator

We are seeking a dedicated Lien Negotiator to join our team. Our team is growing, and we're looking for someone sharp, detail-oriented, and comfortable with numbers to join us in the role of Lien Negotiator.
• Review and update Excel spreadsheets with embedded formulas to reflect provider reductions and client distribution estimates.
• Analyze medical bills and settlement amounts to ensure the client receives the expected share (typically one-third after fees and costs).
• Work backwards from client expectations to determine acceptable reduction targets per provider.
• Use negotiation tactics to lower lien amounts while staying within acceptable thresholds for providers.
• Maintain detailed notes about provider types, visit counts, and historical payment standards (e.g., $100/visit for chiropractic, $500 per MRI).
• Communicate with medical providers to negotiate lien amounts and reach favorable agreements.
• Balance the goal of maximizing client settlements with maintaining good provider relationships.
• Collaborate with supervisors during training, with the goal of handling lien negotiations independently.
• Use internal systems (CRM, KSpear) and Excel tools efficiently during the process.
Proven experience as a Lien Negotiator or in a similar role. Strong understanding of medical billing, liens, and related legal concepts. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and legal documents. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal management software. Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
