We’re looking for a diligent and thoughtful software engineer to join our mobile team on a greenfield mobile app which aims to transform the electric vehicle experience. This is a rare opportunity to use technology to help fight climate change through driving the use of green technology and renewable energy sources in the US and abroad. About the role
We’re looking for someone to take on the challenge of owning and launching an iOS app in the electrification space. You’ll take responsibility for building the app from the ground up, and translating designs and requirements into technical reality. This is a greenfield app which will give you the opportunity to have a huge impact.
You’ll be working in a new team building the iOS and Android apps concurrently with the aim of using cross platform code sharing solutions to reduce the volume of code duplicated across platforms whilst keeping the UI fully native.
Overall you’ll work with a small, high-energy project team to bring the app to life – an exciting opportunity to work like a start-up within a rapidly scaling EnTech business.
About you
We're looking for someone with a general interest in technology and problem-solving; someone diligent and thoughtful; someone with the mindset to learn and grow with the company. We’d love to talk to you if you:
Have experience in the creation of an app through all technical aspects: develop, integrate, ship, test, manage, improve.
Either have some experience with or are keen to learn new technologies like SwiftUI,
GraphQL, Github Actions, and Kotlin Multiplatform.
Are passionate about app architecture and can talk about the benefits and drawbacks of various patterns (MVC, MVVM, MVI/Redux)
Can discuss vision and features within a team and propose creative solutions
Have a deep understanding of the Swift ecosystem.
Bonus points for non-trivial experience with:
Reactive programming (Combine, RxSwift, or similar)
Dependency Injection
CI & CD
