The Data Warehouse Specialist is part of the Global Reporting and Analytics team at the Global Service Center in the Philippines. They work in close collaboration with the global team in creating data warehouse solutions based on functional designs using an iterative development process.
Job Description
Analyzes and reviews business requirements and helps create functional design documents
Conducts technical design reviews
Review the Security Model for HANA View or Bex Report
Conducts impact analysis on development work
Develops optimized Data Acquisition Layer(PSA) , Quality And Harmonization layer (Transformation, WODSO& ODSO); Reporting Layer (Standard DSO, Cubes, Composite Provider, Multiproviders & Info set)
Develops BW Extractor solutions
Develops BW Transformation with Complex ABAP Logic and Routines, APDs
Develops Process Chains, Optimized selection for DTP and IP Data Loads
Creates enhancement of BEX Objects
Creates or modifies HANA views and creates modeling functions in HANA
Develops SQL Scripts using various Data Type extension, Variables, Procedures and Best Practices for HANA Modeling.
Conducts peer review of developed objects
Coordinates local scrum activities with global team
Executes testing and validation and cutover activities for developed objects
Performs data loading
Ensures proper procedures are followed and appropriate documentation is created
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
Fluent English
Detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem solving skills.
The ability to multi-task is inherent in the job responsibilities
Ability to develop and exercise task specific project plans with minimal supervision
4 -6 years of experience in SAP BW and HANA lifecycle implementation
Experienced in Cross-Functional SAP areas such as SD, MM, FI and SAP Master Data

Extensive experienced in Data extraction from Various Source Systems (SAP & Non-SAP) and building complex transformations in BW; Knowledgeable in Extraction process from Standard Extractors to Customizing Extractors
Knowledgeable in the Full, Delta and Queue Mechanism in SAP for BW Extractors
Experienced in Process Chain Monitoring, BW Administration Process & Transport Connections
Knowledgeable in HANA Modelling in Information Views
Experienced in the migration of Bex to HANA and understanding the HANA functions versus Bex Functions
Experienced in SQL Scripting for HANA Modeling ad well as analysis and performance tuning in HANA
Knowledgeable in HANA Security
