Key Responsibilities
With that purpose, high level responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage, review and improve our project delivery frameworks, in close coordination with PMO and our Delivery Transformation team.
- Define, establish and implement a fit for purpose end to end Enterprise Test and Quality Assurance Strategy / framework for Aurecon, fully coordinated with the key IT stakeholders.
Ensure these are used across our Projects and Continuous Delivery activities to achieve structure, consistency, repeatability, and continuous process improvement in software testing.
- Manage, mentor and guide the project delivery team in Manila, currently/initially comprising of the IT Project Managers and the IT Testing team, to ensure that the initiatives are delivered as conceived, within timeline, on budget and of quality.
Set team direction, manage performance, skill development, recruitment, onboarding and pastoral care.
- Build strong and effective relationships with your team and on the projects assigned.
Have a clear focus on "adding value" through the services provided.
Focus on bringing the global team together.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate governance objectives.
Ensure appropriate compliance reporting, issue escalation and stage-gating approvals.
Essential skills and experience
- Experience in managing delivery and testing of IT projects
- Experience on setting up and leading a test practice or portfolio including: Functional, Non-functional, Regression, UAT and Performance
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of project managers and testers
- Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies
- Experience in test automation; testing On Premises, SAAS, PAAS & IAAS
- Comfortable with being flexible and adaptable in a changing environment
- Track record of contributing to a positive and collaborative culture
- Ability to effectively prioritize and assign work to meet deadlines
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
The person in this role will need to drive it as a service and provide a service of high quality
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate complex technical information to technical and lay audiences.
- Background in working in a regional/global organization
- Experience in using different PPM tools like MSP, Service Now, et al.
- Experience preparing visually engaging artefacts/presentations to support process embedding and adoption is desired
- Disciplined approach to planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring activities against plan and financial reconciliation
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomes
- Proven ability to consult and facilitate discussions regarding alternative approaches and to broker consensus across stakeholder teams.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong program/project management skills
- Strong hands on software testing experience
- 5+ years in leading a team
- Prince / PMP certified (desirable)
- ITSQB certified (desirable)
- Experience in global shared services organisation desirable)
