The mission of the Internal Audit organization is to enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight.
Responsibilities of a Senior Auditor include execution of independent and team activities that support the Internal Audit scope of activities and annual plan, which may include routine evaluations of the company's risks and control activities, performance of assigned internal audit assurance projects, and consulting and advisory activities. Assessments may include, but are not limited to evaluations of financial and general reporting practices, order to cash cycles, contracting and vendor management, business operations, etc.
Upon completion of assessment activities, a Senior Auditor will independently develop and present value-added insights to senior management and applicable stakeholders and recommend corrective actions.
This role requires subject matter expertise within key financial and/or operational disciplines, knowledge of industry trends and associated risks, audit standards and practices, healthcare solutions and services, etc.
Execution of independent and team activities that supporting the company’s Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (SOX 404) compliance, which may include routine evaluations of the company's risks and control activities including new process design and documentation, existing process validation (walkthroughs) including identification of technology assets supporting business activities, Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs).
Upon completion of assessment activities, a Senior Auditor will independently draft test results, develop and present value-added insights to senior management and applicable stakeholders, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop knowledge and expertise in financial, operational, or business associated risks. Maintain regular contact with business line management to keep abreast of new issues and initiatives and advise senior management on best practices.
Evaluate highly-complex financial and/or operational processes controls within assigned business areas.
Identify and evaluate risks (e.g., technical, financial, operational, compliance) to the organization, make recommendations for corrective actions/mitigation of risks, and partner with internal teams to provide expertise and guidance.
Four-year college degree from an accredited institution; Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar; Master of Accountancy preferred
Preferred but not really required Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in auditing or controls related work.
In depth knowledge of technical accounting (GAAP, SEC), audit and internal controls including knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements
Progressive internal audit experience or a blend of corporate internal audit, public accounting, and/or corporate finance
Familiarity with internal audit assessment methodologies, industry practices, and frameworks (COSO, COBIT, IPPF, etc.)
Systems experience with enterprise scale financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards or Hyperion
Experience in data analytics with focus on fraud detection
Experience in a complex multi-business unit environment
Strong Microsoft skills including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Access
Subject matter expertise within key financial and/or operational disciplines, knowledge of industry trends and associated risks, audit standards and practices, healthcare solutions and services, etc.
